I'm Elif Sayar. I am a PhD student 👩 at Hacettepe University, Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language Program.

Through this website, I wanted to share the Academic Vocabulary List of Turkish, which I developed as part of my thesis named Determination of Academic Turkish Vocabulary for International Students under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayten Genç.

I hope this pedagogical vocabulary list and website will be beneficial not only to the international students studying in our country but also to the academic Turkish instructors, material designers, exam developers and researchers doing vocabulary studies.

I hope this effort will make a small contribution to defining realistic goals in teaching Turkish as a foreign language and providing a more qualified Turkish education.
